Dave served as a director of large assisted living communities in Oregon, Washington, and Iowa before moving to Texas. He is proud of improving the buildings that he ran and receiving many perfect state inspections. He won a national award for care with one of his communities. He loves chatting over coffee with the people he cares for. He is passionate that people deserve exceptional care and loves to chat about why small is better than any of the large assisted living he has been in.

Nurse Karen loves helping people live every day with passion and enjoyment. She started as a CNA in 1992, while working on her nursing degree. She became a registered nurse in 1996. She took graduate level courses towards being a nurse practitioner. In recent years she studied for and passed the test to be a board certified nurse specialist in the care of people over age 50.
